69 Dodge Charger 500

The next hot wheels is a blue 69 Dodge Charger 500.  I bought it at a supermarket.  It's look like the Charger got a little interest of HW collector, because there are so many of it remained at the supermarket.  But, i took it because of the metalflake blue paint is so good.  And the other reason was it has HEMI 50 years logo on the side.  :)

This Charger just made the debut at Hot Wheels as a part of 2015 HW City, with number 015/ 250.  It comes in 2 colors : metalflake blue & metalflake purple.

The Dodge Charger is an American automobile marketed by the Dodge division of Chrysler and manufactured in Canada by American manufacturer Chrysler Group LLC. First used on a show car in 1964, there have been several different production vehicles, built on three different platforms and sizes, all bearing the Charger nameplate. The Charger nameplate has been used with subcompact hatchbacks, full-sized sedans, and personal luxury coupes.

But the '69 Dodge Charger 500 is the second generation of Dodge Charger.  The original Charger 500 prototype was a 1968 Charger R/T with a 426 Hemi and automatic transmission. The prototype was painted in B5 Blue with a white stripe, as well as a white interior.  (So, i think my Hot Wheels is the prototipe:)  A total of 500 Charger 500s were made, of which only 67 had the 426 Hemi engine; 27 with a 4-speed and 40 with an automatic transmission.

Soo.. Classic with power.. :)
