'70 Dodge Charger R/T (Fast n Furious)

This Hot Wheels is a special one from the Fast and Furious series.  Yes, it's Dominic' 70 Dodge Charger R/T.  :D
I bought it along with the Daytona and Supra.
The '70 Dodge Charger R/T was designed by Brendon Vetuskey, made the debut at Hot Wheels as 2011 New Models number 42/50.   Mine is a part of 2013 Hot Wheels Fast and Furious Series.

In 1970, the Charger was changed slightly. This would be the last year of the 2nd generation Charger and featured a large wraparound chrome bumper and the grille was no longer divided in the middle. New electric headlight doors replaced the old vacuum style. The taillights were similar to those used in 69, but 500 and R/T models came with a new more attractive taillight panel. On the R/T, new rear-facing scoops with the R/T logo were mounted on the front doors, over the door scallops. A new 440 or HEMI hood cutout made the option list for this year only.
Dodge painted the hood scallop inserts black and put the silver engine callouts on top. New "High Impact" colors were given names, such as Top Banana, Panther Pink, Sublime, Burnt Orange, Go Mango and Plum Crazy (sometimes nicknamed "Statutory Grape"). The 500 returned for another year, but as a regular production Charger.
Interior changes included new high-back bucket seats, the door panels were also revised and the map pockets were now optional instead of standard. The ignition was moved from the dash to the steering column (as with all Chrysler products this year), and the glove box was now hinged at the bottom instead of the top as in 1968-69. The SE "Special Edition" trim option added luxury features and was available in as the 500 SE and R/T SE models. The all new pistol grip shifter was introduced, along with a bench seat, a first for the Charger since its debut.
A new engine option made the Charger's list for the first time, the 440 Six Pack. With three two-barrel carburetors and a rating of 390 hp (290 kW), it was one of the most exotic setups since the cross-ram Max Wedge engines of the early 1960s. The Six Pack was previously used on the mid-year 1969 Dodge Super Bee and Plymouth Road Runner. Despite this new engine, production slipped again to 46,576 mainly due to the new E-body Dodge Challenger pony car, as well as rapidly increasing automobile insurance rates. In the 1970 NASCAR season, the 1970 Charger had ten wins, more than any other car, including the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytonas and Plymouth Superbirds, thus giving Bobby Isaac the Grand National Championship.

The Dodge Charger R/T made many appearances in the Fast and Furious Movie. It is the main car that Dominic Toretto drives in the series. It has been destroyed and rebuilt and then destroyed again. The Charger made a return in the fifth film. The classic and the newer version appeared. A Charger Daytona appeared in the sixth installment of the series. It will reappear in Furious 7 as a hero car driven by Dom.

The Fast And The Furious

Dom has a 1970 Classic Dodge Charger that used to belong to his father. Dom says that he and his father built it together when he was young. The car is famed for its incredible power at 900hp and holding a record 1/4 mile time at just nine seconds flat, set by Dom's father. Years ago Dom's Father was forced into a wall at 120mph and killed in an accident caused by a man named Kenny Linder on a Stock Car race, it was apparently the last race of the season.
However, after he finds out Brian's a cop he gets up the nerve to drive it, but is interrupted when Brian shows up. When Johnny Tran does a drive by and kills Jesse, a pursuit starts with Brian and Dom chasing after him. When Johnny is killed Brian and Dom meet up at a red light ready to race. They race a quarter mile nearly being wrecked by a train; after everything looks fine Dom accidentally runs into a semi truck. This sends him and his car airborne and totals his charger.

Fast & Furious

The 1970 Charger is partially rebuilt by Dom's girlfriend Letty before her presumed death. After mourning over her death, Dom finishes rebuilding the car. When they go to capture Braga a big chase starts when Braga's entire crew goes after Brian & Dom. During the chase they enter a tunnel; Dom is then boxed in and is about to crash into a wall; he then jumps into the car next to him and the Charger crashes into the wall, violently bursting into flames. Towards the end of the film, the Charger R/T is revealed again in mint condition with Brian behind the wheel as he, Mia, Tego and Rico make an attempt to rescue Dom off of a bus en route to a penitentiary.

Fast Five

At the start of the film (in continuation of the last film), Brian drives the R/T in front of a prison bus with Dom on board and suddenly brakes; causing the bus to crash into the rear of the Charger and violently flipping the bus, in what aids and abets Dom's escape. Dom uses the Charger to drive to Rio. The Charger R/T is seen again on the Rio racing scene and was used to win an off-screen pink slip race for a Porsche 996 GT3 RS. Dom's Classic Charger is later destroyed by Hobb's armored car, quoting "You just made a big mistake".

Fast & Furious 6

The Charger R/T returns in Fast & Furious 6, in the form of a scale model, which is given to Jack. The scale model is an exact replication of the original Charger R/T that was used in the films series' first film.

Furious 7

There are two version of 70 Charger in the movie.  You'll see it. :)

Toyota Supra (Fast n Furious)

The next Hot Wheels is Brian's Toyota Supra.  I bought it along with the Daytona.

The 1995 Toyota Supra was Brian's second car in The Fast and the Furious. He had his Eclipse destroyed and he needed to give Dom a ten second car. When he first brings it in it's just a old rusted Supra that he got from a junk yard, but they spent about $15,000-$20,000 on restoring it. In reality, they actually spent over $100,000 on upgrading it. When they're done the car is so fast it's able to smoke a Ferrari in a street race.

The 1995 Toyota Supra featured in the film featured a twin-turbocharged 2,997 cc (2.997 L; 182.9 cu in) Toyota 2JZ-GTE I6 capable of producing 330 bhp and 315 lb.ft backed by a 6 speed V16x manual transmission. After heavy modification it produced 544 bhp @ 6800 revolutions per minute.

'69 Dodge Charger Daytona (Fast n Furious)

With Furious 7 hitting theaters April 3rd, now we talk about a special Hot Wheels.  It's '69 Dodge Charger Daytona, a part of Fast and Furious Hot Wheels Edition. :)  I bought it from a reseller (also a collector) of Hot Wheels.  It's hard to find even one of the edition in the market.
It made the debut at 2013 HW Showroom - HW Garage.  This car was used with the same color in the 2013 movie Fast & Furious 6.

Dodge Charger Daytona was a modified version of Dodge Charger.  The name is taken from Daytona Beach, Florida, which was an early center for auto racing and still hosts the Daytona 500, one of NASCAR's premier events. The Daytona was the performance model of the compact Lark and it was produced from 1963–1966.
With the failure of the 1969 Dodge Charger 500 on the highbanks of the superspeedways (tracks of a mile, or more in length), the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona was created. It was intended to be a high-performance, limited-edition version of the Dodge Charger produced in the summer of 1969 for the sole purpose of winning high profile NASCAR races.

 Body and Chassis :
Class : Muscle car
Body style : 2-door coupe
Powertrain
Engine            : 426 Hemi 426 cu in (7.0 L) V8, or 440 Magnum 440 cu in (7.2 L) V8
Transmission  : 4-speed manual, or 3-speed automatic Torqueflite 727
The Dodge Daytona is now a very rare and valuable collectible, with 440-powered Daytonas reaching into six-figure territory and 426 hemi-engined cars passing $300,000

Vin Diesel's Latest Charger Is a Daytona
In Fast & Furious 6,  Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) drives a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. It's the right car for the evolution of the Toretto character from a street racing punk in Los Angeles ripping off semis full of electronics in the first Fast & Furious movie, to the natural leader of a multiethnic family of highly competent international heist-meisters. It's a more sophisticated and sleeker machine for a character who has grown more sophisticated and sleek (in a Diesel-like way) over the 12 years since the series started.

The Non-Daytona Daytona
With its extremely long nose and ridiculously high rear wing, an original 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona would be ill suited to cinematic stunt work, and at more than six figures for a good example, way too expensive. So picture car coordinator Dennis McCarthy built a variation on the Daytona with a slightly shorter nose, a slightly less elevated rear wing and slammed it over a set of custom-made 18-inch wheels wearing 275/40R18 and 315/40R18 Nitto tires.
In fact, the entire front clip of Toretto's Daytona is one piece of fiberglass fabricated at McCarthy's 20,000-square-foot shop in Sun Valley, California. Compared to a production '69 Daytona, the Toretto Daytona's nose is almost 12 inches shorter overall and somewhat taller in profile. And the movie car's nose has fixed headlights under Plexiglas covers instead of the original's pop-up units.

And of course, you won't forget the outstanding stunt by Dom in the movie.  :)

Fire Eater (Another Treasure Hunt)

Long time since the last post.. :p

This time i'll talk about Fire Eater.  It's one of my Treasure Hunt collection.  I bought it for a standard price at a Hot Wheels Event.  Mine is a part of 2013 HW City & 2013 Treasure Hunts Series.

Fire Eater has a long story at Hot Wheels.  It made the debut at 1977 Flying Colors, by Designer: Larry Wood.  It's a well-loved staple of every kid's toybox repertoire for almost 40 years, this is a classic that never seems to die!

Fire eating is the act of putting a flaming object into the mouth and extinguishing it. A fire eater is most commonly an entertainer, often a street performer, part of a sideshow or a circus act. Fire eating torches are generally made of metal with a wrapped kevlar or cotton wick.

The Fire Eater usually can do fire breathing too.

Just don't try this at home!!! :)

Jeep CJ-7 (another Treasure Hunt)

The next Hot Wheels is an orange Jeep CJ-7.  It's a part of HW Off-Road, and also the 2015 Treasure Hunt set.  I'm lucky to got this, because it has a low production symbol on it.
But, i think i am double lucky, because i got it twice. So, i have two of them.  :D
The vehicle made its debut at Hot Wheels in 1982 and has been released as the Jeep CJ-7 and the Roll Patrol Jeep CJ. It was re-tooled in 1991, but the casting is almost identical to the original. The new version has been released as the Trailbuster and the Roll Patrol.

When we talk about the real car,  The Willys Jeep (later Kaiser Jeep or AMC Jeep) (or "Civilian Jeep") is a public version of the famous Willys Military Jeep from World War II.  The first CJ prototype (the Willys CJ-2) was introduced in 1944 by Willys, and the same basic vehicle stayed in production through seven variants and three corporate parents until 1986 when production of the Jeep model was officially ended.
Wherefore, the terms 'M(J)' = 'Military Jeep', 'CJ' = 'Civilian Jeep' and 'DJ' = 'Delivery Jeep' (generally those Jeeps made by AMC's AM General Division for USPS which feature steel hard top and right hand drive).

The Jeep CJ-7 featured a wheelbase 10 inches longer than that of the CJ-5 and lacked its trademark rear curve of the door cutouts.  It was introduced in 1976, and 379,299 were built during 11 years of production.  The CJ-7 featured an optional new automatic all-wheel drive system called Quadra-Trac, as well as a part-time two-speed transfer case; an automatic transmission was also an option. Other features included an optional molded hardtop, and steel doors.

The CJ-7 continues to be used in the sport of mud racing, with either the stock body or a fiberglass replica. CJ-7 has been successfully and widely used as a favorite for rock crawling, through simple and complex modification. These last Jeeps produced were also highlighted with a dash plaque that read, "Last of a Great Breed - This collectors edition CJ ends an era that began with the legendary Jeep of World War II".

69 Dodge Charger 500

The next hot wheels is a blue 69 Dodge Charger 500.  I bought it at a supermarket.  It's look like the Charger got a little interest of HW collector, because there are so many of it remained at the supermarket.  But, i took it because of the metalflake blue paint is so good.  And the other reason was it has HEMI 50 years logo on the side.  :)

This Charger just made the debut at Hot Wheels as a part of 2015 HW City, with number 015/ 250.  It comes in 2 colors : metalflake blue & metalflake purple.

The Dodge Charger is an American automobile marketed by the Dodge division of Chrysler and manufactured in Canada by American manufacturer Chrysler Group LLC. First used on a show car in 1964, there have been several different production vehicles, built on three different platforms and sizes, all bearing the Charger nameplate. The Charger nameplate has been used with subcompact hatchbacks, full-sized sedans, and personal luxury coupes.

But the '69 Dodge Charger 500 is the second generation of Dodge Charger.  The original Charger 500 prototype was a 1968 Charger R/T with a 426 Hemi and automatic transmission. The prototype was painted in B5 Blue with a white stripe, as well as a white interior.  (So, i think my Hot Wheels is the prototipe:)  A total of 500 Charger 500s were made, of which only 67 had the 426 Hemi engine; 27 with a 4-speed and 40 with an automatic transmission.

Soo.. Classic with power.. :)

La Ferrari (Ferrari’s most ambitious project)

The next Hot Wheels is an italian car.  It's a silver LaFerrari.  It's a part of 2014 HW City, which is the debut year of it at Hot Wheels.  I got it while i hunted Hot Wheels last year.  I just found it at a dept store with standard price.

Above sports cars, there are exotic sports cars. And the LaFerrari is poised to be the king of all exotic sports cars. Its 789-hp V-12 gets a 161-hp boost from an electric motor—that’s right, it’s a hybrid—enabling it to accelerate like a Bugatti Veyron while achieving somewhat respectable fuel economy. Far prettier than its predecessor, the Enzo, the LaFerrari is styled like a ground-bound fighter jet.

LaFerrari (also known by its project name, F150) is a limited production hybrid sports car built by Italian sports car maker Ferrari.  The car and its name were officially unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. It is based on findings from testing of the Ferrari FXX and on research being conducted by the Millechili Project at the University of Modena. Association with the Millechili Project led to speculation during development that the car would weigh under 1,000 kg (2,205 lb),but a dry weight of 1,255 kg (2,767 lb) was claimed.  Only 499 units will be built, and each will cost more than £1 million ($1.69 million).

Lamborghini Veneno

The next Hot Wheels that i have is an orange Lamborghini Veneno.  I found it at a toy store with a standard price.  I like it because it was a supercar.  :)

The Veneno just a newcomer at Hot Wheels.  It's started as 2014 HW City, which is mine as one of the variance.

Lamborghini Veneno: Just Three of These Will Ever Exist !!!
The Lamborghini Veneno is a limited production supercar based on the Lamborghini Aventador and was built to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. The prototype, Car Zero, is finished in grey and includes an Italian flag vinyl on both sides of the car. The engine is a development of the Aventador's 6.5 L V12 and produces 750 PS (552 kW; 740 bhp).

Only three production cars were produced, a green, white, and red one, each representing a colour of the Italian flag. Car Zero, which was the vehicle on display, will be retained by the factory for the museum. The three production cars cost €3.12 million each, and all three were sold.
The vehicle number 0 was unveiled at the March 2013 Geneva Motor Show, followed by 2013 Quail Motorsports Gathering,Vallelunga circuit near Rome during the World Finals of Lamborghini Super Trofeo 2013 series.

Ferrari F40 (1st 5-pack)

The last car in 2014 Ferrari 5-pack is Ferrari F40.  It's a yellow car with black tampo.  Ferrari F40 have made a long history in Hot Wheels.  It made the debut at 1989 Hot Wheels by Designer: Larry Wood.

The Ferrari F40 is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-door coupé sports car built from 1987 to 1992. The successor to the Ferrari 288 GTO, it was designed to celebrate Ferrari's 40th anniversary and was the last Ferrari automobile personally approved by Enzo Ferrari.
At the time it was the fastest, most powerful, and most expensive car that Ferrari sold to the public.  The car debuted with a factory suggested retail price of approximately US$ 400,000 in 1987 ($830,000 today), although some buyers were reported to have paid as much as US$ 1.6 million. 1,311 F40s were manufactured in total.

The F40's light weight of 1,100 kg (2,425 lb) and high power output of 485 PS (357 kW; 478 hp) at 7000 rpm gave the vehicle tremendous performance potential. Road tests have produced 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) times as low as 3.8 seconds (while the track only version came in at 2.99 seconds), with 0–160 km/h (0–99 mph) in 7.5  seconds and 0–200 km/h (0–124 mph).

The F40 was the first road legal production car to break the 200 mph (320 km/h) barrier. From its introduction in 1987 until 1989, with its only competitors being the Porsche 959 and the 1988 Lamborghini Countach, it held the record as the world's fastest production car, with a top speed of 201.4 mph (324 km/h). During the 2006 Bonneville Speed Week, Amir Rosenbaum of Spectre Performance managed to take his F40 with small boost and air intake modifications to 226 miles per hour (364 km/h).

Ferrari 430 Scuderia (1st 5-pack)

Another car in the pack is Ferrari 430 Scuderia.  It's a blue metallic car with tampos: silver/red stripe.  The 430 Scuderia quietly debuted in the 2009 Ferrari Racer #1/24.

The Ferrari F430 is a sports car that was produced by the Italian automaker Ferrari from 2004 to 2009. A successor to the Ferrari 360, it debuted at the 2004 Paris Motor Show.  Its replacement, the Ferrari 458, was unveiled on 28 July 2009.

Especially the 430 Scuderia (scuderia meaning "stable of horses", but also used in the context of motor racing teams, including Ferrari's own) was unveiled by Michael Schumacher at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. Aimed to compete with cars like the Porsche RS-models and the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera (superleggera meaning super light weight), it is lighter (by 100 kg/220 lb) and more powerful (510 PS (375 kW; 503 hp) at 8500 rpm) than the standard F430.  The Ferrari 430 Scuderia accelerates from 0-100 kilometres per hour (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 202 miles per hour (325 km/h).   Ferrari claims that around their test track, Fiorano Circuit, it matches the Ferrari Enzo, and the Ferrari F430's successor, the Ferrari 458.

Ferrari Enzo (1st 5-Pack)

The next Hot Wheels in 2014 Ferrari 5-pack is Ferrari Enzo.  It's a metalflake black car, with tampos: Ferrari badge on hood, red & white stripes on hood, roof & rear. And the last but not the least, you'll like the RedLine on the wheels.

The Hot Wheels Enzo Ferrari commonly called "Enzo" or "Ferrari Enzo" is based on the actual production supercar. This is the 4th fastest car produced by Hot Wheels.  It made the debut at 2003 First Editions #24 by Designer : Mark Jones.

The Enzo Ferrari is named after the company's founder, Enzo Anselmo Ferrari (Modena, Italy 18 February 1898 -- Maranello, Italy 14 August 1988).  He was an Italian motor racing driver and entrepreneur, the founder of the Scuderia Ferrari Grand Prix motor racing team, and subsequently of the Ferrari automobile marque. He was widely known as "il Commendatore" or "il Drake". In his final years he was often referred to as "l'Ingegnere" or "il Grande Vecchio (the Old Man)".

The Enzo Ferrari is a 12 cylinder mid-engine berlinetta supercar and built in 2002 using Formula One technology, such as a carbon-fibre body, F1-style electrohydraulic shift transmission, and carbon fibre-reinforced silicon carbide (C/SiC) ceramic composite disc brakes.  Also used are technologies not allowed in F1 such as active aerodynamics and traction control. After a downforce of 7600 N (1700 lbf) is reached at 300 km/h (186 mph) the rear wing is actuated by computer to maintain that downforce.
