Customized VW Drag Truck (HW Cool Classic Series 2 - #25 of 30)

Now, it's the time for a special edition of Hot Wheels.  It's a Customized VW Drag Truck.  :D  I've been waiting for a long time to have this Volkswagen.  I got it from a facebook shopping.  Mine is a part of 2006 HW Cool Classic Series 2.

The Volkswagen Drag Truck is a modified version of the Volkswagen Drag Bus. Unlike its much more valuable brother, this one has hit the pegs more than once.  It was debuted at 2004 First Editions #101, by Designer : Phil Riehlman.

I found none information about the real version of this Hot Wheels.  Besides that, i really love the special Blue painting on it.  :)

Aston Martin One-77 (HW Exotics 5-pack)

And now another car of HW Exotics 5-pack is Aston Martin One-77. It comes with yellow color, with black stripe tampo on it.

The Aston Martin One-77 debuted as 2011 New Models 31/50 with gray color, and it is continued until now.

Origins

The names, One-77, comes from the limited run of only 77 cars.

Real Life

The Aston Martin One-77 is a two-door coupé built by the British car manufacturer Aston Martin. It first appeared at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, although the car mostly (three quarters) covered by a grey pin-stripe fabric cover with only a glimpse of the front right side coyly peeping out throughout the show, before being fully revealed at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, and deliveries from the beginning of 2011, and sold for £1,150,000.
The One-77 features a full carbon fibre monocoque chassis, a handcrafted aluminium body, and a naturally aspirated 7.3 litre (7312 cc) V12 engine with 750 hp (560 kW).  The car uses a strengthened version of the DB9's 6-speed automated manual transmission and height-adjustable pushrod suspension coupled with dynamic stability control.  It will feature Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres (255/35 ZR20 front, 335/30 ZR20 rear) and Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes.
The top speed was estimated to be 200 mph (320 km/h) but actual tests in December 2009 showed a figure of 220.007 mph (354.067 km/h), with a 0–60 mph time of approximately 3.5 seconds.  The engineering and build source of the carbon chassis and suspension system was contracted to Multimatic of Canada.  The projected weight was 1,500 kg (3,307 lb), but the production model was 1,630 kg (3,594 lb). The CO2 emissions of the One-77 are rated at 572 g/km.

In The Movie

This car is not yet being used in a movie.  I think, it would be a perfect car for Mr.Bond. :)

Porsche 918 Spyder (HW Exotics 5-pack)

The second car of the Exotics 5-pack is Porsche 918 Spyder.  Of course, i got it along with Aston Martin V8 Vantage. I really like the blue color on it.  It's one of my favorite. :)

The Porsche 918 Spyder debuted as 2013 HW Showroom - HW All Stars, and it continues until now.

Real Life.

The Porsche 918 Spyder is a mid-engined plug-in hybrid sports car designed by Porsche.
Carrera GT + 930 Turbo = 918 Spyder.
The V-8 makes 608 horsepower, three more than in Porsche’s previous limited-edition flagship, the Carrera GT. But the 918 then adds roughly the output of another old flagship, the 930 Turbo, via two electric motors. One wedges in between the V-8 and seven-speed PDK transmission; the other sits aft of the front cargo hold. The battery pack sits low behind the passengers within the carbon-fiber monocoque. Total system output from the engine and motors sits at 887 horsepower and a maximum of 944 lb-ft of torque.  The 918 Spyder's 6.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack delivers an all-electric range of 19 km (12 mi) under EPA's five-cycle tests. This car has a top speed of around 340 km/h (210 mph).

The 918 Spyder was first shown as a concept at the 80th Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. The production version was unveiled at the September 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.  The 918 Spyder is a limited edition sports car, with 918 units manufactured and sold as a 2014 model year. Production began on September 18, 2013, with deliveries initially scheduled to begin in December 2013.  The starting price was US$847,000.  The 918 Spyder was the second plug-in hybrid car from Porsche, after the 2014 Panamera S E-Hybrid.  The 918 Spyder was sold out in December 2014. The country with the most orders was the United States with 297 units.  Production ended in June 2015.
Performance:
Top speed > 211 mph
purely electric    93 mph

Acceleration:
0-62 mph   2.8 s
0-60 mph   less than 2.8 s
0-62 mph (in electric mode)  7.0 s
 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) 7.9 s
0-186 mph (0-300 km/h) 23.0 s

Aston Martin V8 Vantage (HW Exotics 5-Pack)

I've got so many cars since last post, but sadly I have no time to share it because of some projects last time. :(
Now, I'll introduce you to a British car : Aston Martin V8 Vantage.  I bought it in a toy store.  This car is one of 2014 HW Exotics 5-Pack.

It was the debuted as 2005 HW First Editions #11 by designer : Mark Jones.

Origin

Mention http://v8vantage.com/Aston-Martin-Vantage.htm among Aston enthusiasts and it immediately conjures up images of "high performance", far exceeding that of the normal cars. While the Vantage name has been used since the early 1950’s it's origin has remained obscure and a detailed analysis of the cars has never been made. A new book by Kean Rogers sheds light on Vantage history and details Britain’s first real “Supercar” the V8 Vantage.

The name "Vantage" was chosen after leafing through a thesaurus looking for suitable tags for higher performance variants of the then current model, the DB Mk II.  Offering 125bhp, versus 105 bhp for the standard engine, Vantage represented the tuned state for Aston Martin's fine handcrafted automobiles and was easily distinguished by a "V" in the engine number and obviously higher levels of performance.

Aston Martin has previously used the "Vantage" name on high-performance variants of their existing GT models, notably on the Virage-based car of the 1990s.  The modern car, in contrast, is the leanest and most agile car in Aston's lineup. As such, it is intended as a more focused model to reach out to potential buyers of cars such as the Porsche 911 as well as the exotic sports and GT cars with which Aston Martins traditionally compete.

Real Life

The AMV8 Vantage was introduced as a concept car in 2003 at the North American International Auto Show, the production V8 Vantage was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2005 for the 2006 model year. The two seat, two -door coupé had a bonded aluminium structure for strength and lightness. The 172.5 inch (4.38 m) long coupé featured a hatchback-style tailgate for practicality, with a large luggage shelf behind the seats. In addition to the coupé, a convertible, known as the V8 Vantage Roadster, is available.
The V8 Vantage was initially powered by a 4.3 L (4300 cc) quad-cam32-valveV8 which produced 380 hp (280 kW) at 7,300 rpm and 302 lb·ft (409 N·m) at 5,000 rpm. However models produced after 2008 had a 4.7 litre 420 hp (313 kW) V8.  Though based loosely on Jaguar's AJ-V8 engine architecture, this engine was unique to Aston Martin and featured race-style dry-sump lubrication, which enabled it to be mounted low in the chassis for an improved center of gravity. The cylinder block and heads, crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, camshafts, inlet and exhaust manifolds, lubrication system, and engine management were all Aston Martin designs and the V8 engine was assembled by hand at the AM facility in Cologne, Germany, which also built the V12 engine for the DB9 and Vanquish.
The engine was front mid-mounted with a rear-mounted transaxle, giving a 49/51 front/rear weight distribution. Slotted Brembo brakes were also standard. The original V8 Vantage could accelerate to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.7 seconds topping out at 175 mph (282 km/h).  Vantages with the enhanced 400 bhp version of the 4.3 L V8 engine (included with the "N400" package or available individually as a Power Upgrade kit) as well as later models with the 4.7 L V8 and 5.9 L V12 were even faster.

'10 Ford Shelby GT500

I'll show you another amazing car.  It's another shelby: '10 Ford Shelby GT500.  Mine is a part of 2015 HW City - Performance.  I found it hang at a dept store.

The debut of this model as 2010 New Models #9.

Real Life

For the 2010 model year, the Shelby Mustang GT500 was redesigned along with the base Ford Mustang. As with the 2007–09 GT500, the 2010 includes unique front and rear fascias, hood with functional vents and unique rear spoiler. The rear spoiler includes a functional Gurney flap. Along with new exterior colors, customers have the option of extending the exterior stripes onto the seats. Production was limited to 2000 units.

The 5.4 L engines's power output was increased to 540 hp (403 kW) and 510 lb·ft (691 N·m) of torque with the addition of a cold air intake similar to the 08/09 GT500KR and includes a knock sensor to protect the engine if lower octane fuel is used. The 2010 GT500's fuel efficiency increased by 2 miles per gallon.
SVT re-tuned the coupe's suspension and worked with Goodyear on 19" tires with new construction, compound and tread pattern. The coupe's 19" wheels are forged for a reduction in unsprung weight. The convertible retained the 18" wheels.

As you see below, there is also the real car of it.
Very nice car!! :D

In the Movie

I have found none information about this car being used in a movie.

'68 Shelby GT500

After a long time.. :)
Next.. is another Shelby, a red '68 Shelby GT500.  It's a part of 2013 HW Showroom - Performance.  A friend of mine offered it to me, and i bought it.

Real Life

Beginning in April 1968, Ford began factory installing a version of the 428 engine known as the "Cobra Jet". The GT 500 was subsequently know as The GT 500-KR. The initials KR stood for "King of the road." Ford rated the Cobra jet at 335 horsepower (250 kW), but with 440 foot-pounds of torque at 3400 RPM, the horsepower was considered significantly underrated. Shelby's KR engine was left stock adding die-cast aluminum valve covers with "Cobra Lemans" to note Ford's FE engine family victory over Ferrari at Le Mans in 1966 and 1967.

In The Movie
Unfortunately, i found none information of it was ever used in a movie.
:(
