'67 Pontiac GTO

It's been a long time since i made last post of my Hot Wheels.
This time, i give you another car of an American muscle.  It's a '67 Pontiac GTO.

The '67 Pontiac GTO made a debut appearance as 1997 30th Anniversary of '67 Muscle Cars Set.  It was designed by Mark Jones.  After that, Hot Wheels continue to release new version of it.

Origins

The name GTO, which was DeLorean's idea, was inspired by the Ferrari 250 GTO, the successful race car. It is an Italian abbreviation for Gran Turismo Omologato, (grand tourer homologated") which means officially certified for racing in the grand tourer class.

Real Life

The GTO underwent a few styling changes in 1967. The louver-covered tail lights were replaced with eight tail lights, four on each side. Rally II wheels with colored lug nuts were also available in 1967. The GTO emblems located on the rear part of the fenders were moved to the chrome rocker panels. Also the grill was changed from a purely split grill, to one that shared some chrome.

The 1967 GTO came in three body styles:
  • Hardtop – 65,176 produced
  • Convertible – 9,517 produced
  • Sports coupe – 7,029 produced
The '67 GTO powered by 389 engine received a larger cylinder bore (4.12 inches, 104.7 mm) for a total displacement of 400 CID (6.5 L) V8.

The 400 cubic inch engine was available in three models: economy, standard, and high output.
  1. The economy engine used a two-barrel carburetor rather than the Rochester Quadrajet and produced 265 hp (198 kW) at 4400 rpm, and 397 lb·ft (538 N·m) at 3400 rpm.
  2. The standard engine produced 335 hp (250 kW) at 5000 rpm, and the highest torque of the three engines at 441 lb·ft (598 N·m) at 3400 rpm.
  3. The high output engine produced the most power for that year at 360 hp (270 kW) at 5100 rpm, and produced 438 lb·ft (594 N·m) at 3600 rpm.
GTO sales for 1967 totaled 81,722.

In The Movies.

1967 Pontiac GTO is a favorite car for the movie, and these movie are some of them :

Batmobile (Batman 75th Anniversary)

Now, it's a #Batman time.  I show you another version of Batmobile.  I bought it from another collector at Facebook.  This one is a part of 2014 HW City / Batman 75th Anniversary #062 / 250.

The 2004 Batmobile was designed by Dave Martis and takes its styling cues from a larger toy Batmobile from the Action Figure group. Dave took liberties with the design lengthening it and adding the double bubble canopies to the 1/64th scale model. The purple paint was meant to add a bit of color.

Killer Copter (from Police 5 Pack)

This time, it's not a car.  It's a Killer Copter.  I bought it at a toy store as a part of 2015 Police 5 Pack.  It's a "Po Po" time!!!  :)

The Killer Copter first debuted in 1994 in Hot Wheels Color Changers / 1994 Color FX - Monster Models, and then came back in the 2007 Hot Wheels Segment Series Aerial Attack 2/4.  Casting name changed to Skyfire in the 2016 mainline series. Just wait to see it.

Surfin' Schoool Bus

This time, i brought you another fantasy car of Hot Wheels.  It's a Surfin' School Bus.  I got it at a toy store.  I took it because of Redline at the wheels.

 Front

Rear

The Surfin' School Bus made the debut as 2001 First Editions, by Designer: Phil Riehlman.  It also appears in the Hot Wheels: Velocity X game, unlockable by finding the Hidden Key on top of a skyscraper in Burnout Glacier. It is notorious for being the toughest vehicle in the game, capable of withstanding many big attacks before exploding. However, with its extreme toughness also comes a horrid top speed.  It is based on a GMC Old Looks bus.

Strangely, the badge on the front of the Bus bears Certain resemblance to the logo of the New Flyer Bus Company, A Canadian Bus-maker based out of the Central Canadian City of Winnipeg.

Super Blitzen

Another fantasy car of Hot Wheels, Super Blitzen.

The Super Blitzen was designed by Ryu Asada, as a part of 2011 HW New Models.Although it is a fantasy car, Super Blitzen is look alike Pagani Zonda R.

Fast Gassin' (Treasure Hunt)

Just found another treasure hunt. :D  It's Fast Gassin', which is a part of 2015 HW City - City Works.

The Fast Gassin' was designed by John Violette as 2009 HW New Models.
Maybe the real life of Fast Gassin' is like this.

5 Alarm

Next.. is a fantasy car from Hot Wheels.  It's a 5 Alarm, a firefighter car from Hot Wheels, which is a part of 2015 HW City - Rescue.

The 5 Alarm was designed by Kevin Cao for the 2009 New Models Series. Cao thought it would be cool to take the engine off of a military tank and supercharge it to power this fantastic Hot Wheels fire engine!  With a turbine tank engine, side exhaust, and safety tools on top, this fire truck was made for fast response on and off the job.
When i'm looking for 5 Alarm image, i found this 2 pictures.

The model is pretty much the same like this one.
